I have sort of become a housewife, although not a very good one (I still only clean when we have guests coming over). Our apartment does not have laundry so it is off to the laundromat for us. Frenchie is allergic to doing laundry (well, not really, but the laundromat makes him sort of crazy) so I have found it is more pleasant for me to do it by myself. Of course, there is also the fact that I have TONS of free time on my hands.
I still hate the laundromat though. It's not so much dragging the laundry there or spending the time, it is more that my dirty laundry seems like it should be more private! It makes me slightly uncomfortable to think about whose laundry was in there before and how dirty the floor is (when I accidently drop things). I feel like nothing is really clean. Not to mention the weirdos who work/hang out there. One of the employees the other day was standing around making conversation with the patrons and was jokingly threatening to beat up somebody's kid! WTF? And then yesterday there was this older couple in there and the guy literally watched everything I did. I'm normally self conscious in public anyway, but having this dude staring at me the whole time did not help. Well, it sure makes me thankful for all the places I have lived where I had my own laundry machines!!

Ugh. I HATED going to the laundromat and still hate it. I feel so bad for all of the people who are there with their 80 kids trying to get the wash done and it makes me so thankful to have a washer and dryer!
I'm with ya, sista. Laundromat = grody.
I haven't had to deal with laundromats on my own. That's one of my conditions when I move somewhere.
Brookline is in Norfolk County? I totally didn't know that!
This is my first laundromat experience. All of Frenchie's clothes turned out really wrinkled because I didn't fold them in time. I might suck at being a housewife. At least I can cross that profession off my list!!
